There was a time where I could not answer question properly. Even if I knew the answer and it wasn't embarassing. Like sometimes with a personal yes or no question I'll answer yes before answering no when the answer is no.

Here are some examples:
1)"What's 1x8?"
-guy1
"Mmmm...ahh..mmm...8"
-me
2)"Have you ever drawn Mickey Mouse?"
-girl1
"Mmmm...yes...mmm...no"
-me

I don't do it as offend. But I still do it. Is it normal and why might I do this?

    I don't think your playing dumb, I think it an automatic alert subconscious nervous reaction when being asked a question.
    Playing dumb would mean your seeking for attention. But seeing how your posting something about it, it just doesn't seem to fit. Lol anyways try to focus on only what's being asked. Worth a shot?

    Happens to me. My worst nightmare is small-talks, I get stuck like an idiot and just keep mumbling.
