Questioning her about her fantasy

I have been dating with J for the last 7 years. She is a single mom with K who is currently 20 amd L is 10. When K was 14, she started mixing with boys who was not from her school. she woukd skip class to be with the boy. she would write letters to the boy and would receive in turn. One day I found some of her letters hidden away in the closet.

I started reading those letters and it was about giving a blow job to some other boys. I did not tell anyone i found those letters. I did not know what to think but after a few minutes sat down and started to question her about the teasing she has been doing all these years. She denied everything and laugh about it. Then i gave her examples of each time and now she felt that she is backing towards a corner.

She started to walk towards her room and i felt like shit. I apologize to K for bring up the question. I left for work which I am away for 7 days.

I talked to J that same night and ask her how was work and if everything is ok. J sounded fine and I was worried. I guess I should have talked to J about our step daughter first before this confusion. It seems that K started telling her mom things that did not even happen like i was touching her and making advance.

I told J that i did not do anything to her daughter K and it was only a question that i asked. Now I am not living in the same house as J for the fear that K is going to come out with stories with is going to affect the relationship between J and I.

What should I do next to make things the same as it was before?
