My mom way over-analyzes Doctor Who. She's always like, "what does that mean?!" lol she just asked me about why Van Gogh was wearing the last doctor's (tenant) pants. I was like I don't know? It's a very good show but those doctor who fans are hard core!
I watched Dr.Who and I could not continue after two episodes. It does not seem to explain anything its just pure madness. Nothing is established and it makes no sense. You also get the feel that you started watching in the middle of the series. So that is really confusing. I do not blame her as I don't get it either. However I over analyze everything I watch. Why no one wants to go to the movies with me anymore since I have to point out everything wrong with the film. Its like pokemon you just have to ask why and its usually never answered.
there are often interesting things to pick up on which are put there on purpose for the observant dr who fans, such as the episode with james corden in it and there are vincent van gogh gallery postcards on his fridge, next to a little space rocket :) but i think van goghs character last episode probably wore those trousers because of a low costume budget. explain to your mum that she needs to just relax and enjoy the series, and that wicker hats aren't cheap.
