Yes because individuals that can't function in society and suffer constant panic attacks/delusions/other issues problems are completely irrelevant. See all those statistics about improvement after therapy? All bullshit lies. How cognitive therapy has helped the depressed? Rubbish. The way SIT/hardiness training have been show to aid reducing stress symptoms? A load of utter tosh.

Yep, antipsychotic and antidepressant medicine has never helped anyone ever. And all those studies that say it has are just conforming to the evil scheme which the government are obviously in cahoots in.

Yes, psychiatry is indeed the biggest fraud/scam in the business.

Yes because some overmedicate and do unnecessary treatment for money.
There is a lot of corruption in the mental health industry.

No because not everyone is the same, therefore people sometimes have issues fitting in or functioning in other ways.

Psychology is not an exact science. For example depression has hundreds of causes, but everyone with that assortment of causes gets treated similarly.

Even disorders such as autism and schizophrenia have different causes which are thought to be genetic, but even when you look at the genes there are different individual abnormalities that cause those symptoms.

So the diagnostic labels are there to cluster peoples symptoms with what treatments work for them.

A lot of people claim medication does not work but that's because they over prescribe it to people who were misdiagnosed. I can tell you from experience that used correctly they work great.

I currently take several medications for symptoms and I was insane way before I took them so you cannot blame psychiatry on making me crazy. It runs in my family and is genetic for me.

Off them I couldn't think straight, I probably wouldn't even have been able to post here coherently. My thoughts were severely disrupted and I didn't even get out of high school until I was 22 because I wasn't treated and couldn't function. I felt controlled by extra dimensional entities who would take over my mind and communicate with me and I was severely manic to the point where I'm very lucky my behavior didn't get me killed.

So psychiatry can be a scam but telling people to not treat problematic traits can be dangerous.

Right because dealing with depression and other things is complete bullshit and seeing no way out is complete bullshit. Then finally being able to get help and be put on correct medication didn't bring me to the light at the end of my tunnel. I guess you have never had to deal with any kind of psychiatric issues or you wouldn't have this view point.

Imo, psychiatry is a total fraud. Whoever says it's not are just kidding themselves. There's actually proof on why all the DSM they created was a scam, I've watched a documentary about that! Schizophrenia is the only thing that's actually a mental illness because it involves people seeing things that never even existed, the rest are just being created without any actual scientific proof. Hell, they even claim people who are in the anti-psychiatry movement have a mental disorder.
