It's nearly December, before all of that halfhearted " New year New me" stuff that gets blasted all over the internet and Facebook every year I thought I'd ask what your proudest moment or achievement of 2014 has been,
At risk of it being deleted let me rephrase
is it normal I want to know what your proudest moment of 2014 has been so far?
I usually just have a series of lows but this year it's loosing 2 and a half stone and writing a song I'm actually not embarrassed to play and sing in front of other people, in fact I really rather like it.
I'm quite proud of fulfilling my 2014 new years resolution. I lost weight and I fit into smaller clothing. I keep looking at older photos of me on Facebook and thinking:
"Look at all that butter! I look so much better now than I did back then."
I'm one ugly cunt, yet now I can't stop looking into a mirror.
Learning to accept myself, be myself, not to care about the opinions of others.
Hm... I've started working on five comics all at once! Haha, I think I've done a lot in a year and I've improved in my drawing!
(...Y'know the drawings I put on my profile? They're a bit sucky... I'll put a real pencil-drawn picture on there someday... Someday...)
Hmm ... How well I handled being dumped and that I finally dragged my ass back to school. After June 2015 I'll at least have a completed education.
I'm also happy about that I finally started to go to the gym in June.
Promotion at work I guess. I'm something like a junior manager. Closest thing I can think of. I can finally boss people around XD
Second to that would be a few races with friends.
Go-kart racing - 1st place
Jetski racing - 1st place
And the occasional highway pull with friends.
Tho the latter is more of just feeling great about that victory. Not proud. I gained nothing out of that, other than beer I mean...
I take great pride in beating the stock market. Unfortunately, this did not happen in 2014.
Winning medals in the South African Karate Championship in Kata, Kumite and Unison Kata and receiving a certificate last month saying:
"Male student with the best knowledge and technical skills of Sansei Goju Ryu"
"Best karateka of 2014"
"Most dedicated and trustworthy student"
I can't narrow it down to one thing but late this year I've made some big steps towards becoming the man I want to be & changing my life
I happened across the girl of my dreams (the first girl I've ever been able to imagine a future with) through pure luck. I secured a 30% pay rise at work (inspired at least partly due to said girl) which has allowed me to be currently searching for my first home!
Things are looking good & although there's been some devastating lows I think overall 2014 has been a big year for me
Oh idk
I learned how to knit and crochet this year...im not as good at crocheting as I have only made 3 things with it...im trying to work my way to being able to knit a sweater!
Oh I made a logo for a company that will be starting up soon!
