Protecting karma at iin.

Karma is elusive. After a week or two, my karma dries up and I have to create a new alt to keep participating at IIN. What do you do?

If my karma runs low, I just create a new alt, and use that. 1

    Karma isn't real.

Unfortunately, making new accounts further decreases your karma. I'd love to advise you on the best way to earn more points, but it is a complete mystery to me why certain comments get thumbed up. Sometimes I earn loads of thumbs up for acting like complete cunt, whilst legitimate heartfelt advice doesn't seem to fare so well. There's no way to predict anything.

True unless you register from different IP addresses :)

Fair point. Didn't think of that, but computer thingamadoos are beyond my intellectual capacity. If my computer breaks, I just slap it like the fonz.

Karma is a nebulous value that is determined by an algorithm using cumulative thumb counts, frequency of posts, and other variables. If your karma is high, using IIN will be easy. If your karma becomes too low, pop up windows tell you to log off for the day, and other stuff starts to not work right.
