Preference based on race.
I'm of southern and east German descent, pure caucasion with dark complexion, hair and very dark eyes. I'm often mistaken for being of Italian descent. I don't consciously worry about race in a girl since I feel the individual is more important. I'm college/grad school educated and very imaginative with a strong sense of humor. I compose music, sometimes songs and often serious pieces.
I've been married twice and both women were of native American descent. The first, of 50% Aztec descent, was the daughter of Mexican emigrants. The second is probably 12.5% native American from West Virginia.
When I met the first wife (deceased), I noticed she was dark with long black hair but I assumed that she was Jewish because she worked for Jewish friends and seemed to be familiar with their customs and religion. But I wasn't thinking too deeply about it, although I fell in love with her long black hair that reached down to her waist.
My second wife had jet black hair, too, which she kept neat with regularly scheduled beauty shop appointments where she got permanents. She didn't brag about her native American ancestry as I've heard others do.
I used to get around Philadelphia regularly and one day I stopped at a truck stop in an exhurb where I ran into a distant relative who, in responce to something I had said, replied, "I don't know about that but I know they (my surname) sure love Indian women" to which I paid no attention at the time.
Recently, it finally came to me that the facial qualities I admire in my two wives were the black hair, dark eyes, relatively high cheekbones, and the prominent nose with a slight downturn. (I have always disliked 'pug' noses).
I'm wondering how normal this is and why it should be. Is it some sort of fetish or the fact that typical American native facial features just happen to coincide with the features I prefer.
