Post grad drinks with teachers - weird?

Is it normal to think this is creepy and weird? im graduating soon and there is talk of some of my fellow students group going to a club for drinks and refreshments on graduation night along with teachers. I personally wouldn't be seen dead socialising with teachers it just feels odd. any thoughts?

Post grads often have relationships with their profs. They need not be sexual, but with common interests in class subject matter, and so much time spent together, it seems natural that the two groups would be drawn together.

It should feel odd, since they are your superiors. However, since you're graduating, and they will no longer be your superiors, you should take the opportunity to get to know them as people. That's good life experience.

If they're teachers you don't really like, I could understand. But didn't you find that towards the end of high school, you start to suddenly be able to relate to them a lot better?
I only remember one time a couple of teachers and a few students went to see a band play (who were students too). It was fun to be a bit loose ...hangin out, a few drinks with the teachers.
So I say let the boundaries dissolve, loosen up and if it feels good, do it. Like Freedom says, could get sexy :)

College graduation or high school graduation? It would be weird if it wasn't legal. I can see why you would be a little uncomfortable. When in school, other times, our teachers and other members of authority are put on a different, almost forbidden stand from that of their students. The idea of having dual relationships with these kinds of people isn't familiar to you, hence the uncomfortability. I really think that you should go for this. Be open minded and try out new things. Who knows? This excursion could open more new doors in your life?

It sounds like balding men with beards and glasses exploring various of different holes and positions.

Hey, hey, there, I am not balding, nor do I wear glasses. But exploring holes and positions; one is NEVER too old to learn new things. School is now in session, Miss prof.....
