Pool drains!!!!!

Is it normal to be afraid of pool drains or mechanical objects in a body of water. For instance, Im terrified of inground pool drains. Im NOT afraid of being sucked in or stuck...etc. Im afraid of their appearance, I avoid them completely. If I find one unexpectidly or god forbid touch one with my foot, I go into complete panic mode. Also afraid of pool lights, some kinds of jets, black tile/lines is public pools. Or in lakes or rivers, mechanical objects like turbines or some dams. NOT afraid of sink drains or regular bath tub drains. I can not figure out why I feel this way! Its such a strange phobia, and I have no idea what caused it! I have no other irrational fears at all, just pool drains! :o/ What sucks the most is I absolutely love swimming! Opinions please!!??

    I just stick to swimming in lakes or oceans & SOME pools. Its weird bc Id rather see a shark any day, compared to a pool drain, esp the grate ones...lol.

    it isnt normal. maybe you need to swim in a pool that does not have a filter.
