Is it normal to think police brutality is cool, when it's done right.
Kelly Thomas was beaten to death by cops, not cool but say you were a cop and you were arresting a dirty, filthy pedoarse, then it would be cool to be rough with him when arresting. Pepper spray, break a couple of fingers, taser ect.
The court found that "a reasonable person could infer that the use of force was excessive and unreasonable." I think that much answers your question; it seems that you are either not being entirely serious with us, or you are not a reasonable person :P
Police have a very specific role in society, and this role is not to punish. We have a separate legal and penal system for punishment, and respecting due process is important because with separated powers we reduce tyranny. I don't know anything about the Thomas case, but from reading about it on Wikipedia I don't see how it's possible to conclude that the police action was anything other than murder.

It's not the police's job to punish people. It's their job to take them to where they can have a fair trial.
I don't know which "common man" you've been talking to, but it's my impression that the "not guilty" verdict for the police involved was extremely unpopular.
Where did you read he was a paedophile? I can't find anything, anywhere to suggest that. It's almost as if you've made it up.
