Pervert at work?

I work in a department store with a major pervert...or at least I think he is. A guy came over to my department and started looking around, so I asked him if he needed help finding something. He became a bit hostile and said, 'I just wanted to let you know that I work here.' He gave off a creep vibe, but I just said hi to him as politely as possible.

Later on, I went to the ladies room and it was being cleaned. I opened the door to ask how long it would be and it was the creeper...as the janitor. He started taking the sign down and closed the door, but stayed in the restroom and said, 'You can go, but I am going to stay in here.'

I said no thanks and tried to leave, but he kind of blocked my way out. Another customer came along though, and he stopped.
Is this dude a pervert? Should I report him?

Hmmm....

I'd wait to see if it happens again. It sounds sorta sketchy to me. Maybe tell one of your co-workers about it so they could at least be a witness if it happens again. By all means if it does, report him! You want to feel comfortable in your work environment! Hope this helps :)

Trust your gut feeling always! Tell someone about him like a co-worker and your boss. Don't ever put yourself In a situation where you are going to be alone with him. Carry some mace on you. Alternatively, you can try wearing a fake engagement ring. Try to get the point across to him that you are taken and uninterested.

Well I'm a female janitor, and I have had people (mainly men) walk into the restrooms while I had posted on the door that it was being cleaned. Its annoying to have someone interrupt you while you're working, so you keep working. Its worrying that he tried to stop you from leaving, but as a janitor, we are not expected to drop the task at hand and wait for someone to finish going tinkle. As a janitor you get desensitized to that stuff.

Sounds like classic, "confirmation bias". You ignore all the signs that he is not a creep because you have already decided that he is a creep. Tell him you don't like him, and to go away. Be a jerk.

You decided he was a perv and now tries to write around it to strengthen your own believes. In fact you already named him a Creeper.

"He kinda blocked me"...Once again.Or he blocked you or he didn`t.

I think you should get a grip on yourself and not going around calling people names until they do something illegal in which case you can report them to security or the cops.

      She didn't mention anything about his physical appearance. The post seems a little paranoid to me but it sounds more like she was uncomfortable because he was in the women's loos than because she thought he was ugly. For the record, if I was in the toilet and a super hot guy was in there and physically blocked me from leaving, I would not be cool with that. Having said that, it doesn't sound like this guy did much, but he obviously behaved in a way which made the OP uncomfortable/threatened. Looks aren't a part of that.
