when i have my period i feel really really gross, and like i smell even though i change my pad regularly. because of this i don't like to be around people when i have it and feel self conscious when i walk passed people cos i think they might be able to smell it. does anyone else feel like this?
i don't use tampons unless i'm swimming so i normally feel like this on my period. I.HATE.PERIODS.SO.FREAKING.MUCH.
Yeah im worried about smell, BUT MAINLY WORRIED IF IT SPOTS THROUGH MY JEANS. like what the fuck. It is embarrassing i run to the bathroom everytime i feel like im leaking. lol
well I'm not a female so I've never encountered it. but I've always talking to my gf's about there periods as im perfectly comfortable with the subject. anyway its natural to feel that as its pretty common for girls to have more of an odor when on your period, if your afraid of the odor being so bad that other can smell it out of your pants, maybe use some perfume or a scented pad? but in all honesty unless someone happened to be crotch lvl with there nose in it they probably wont smell it. cheers.
I used to feel this way too but I think it's just paranoia (my family is a little blunt, loud, obnoxious and embarassing, surely someone wouldve commented) Everyone is moe perceptive of their own scent. But yah, use baby wipes or women's hygenic wipes to clean up and freshen up when you change, and even in between if you feel its necessary.
Tampons and baby wipes or "wet ones" each time you change your pad/tampon.
Tampons, just thinking about pads gives me the ickies! Tampons are so much more cleanly. BUT if you like pads, just change them often & wash. Youre prob just paranoid.
It's normal. Try tampons & regularly washing the area. Also, flushable wet wipes is always a good way to go. If you use tampons try using baby powder... It will keep you feeling dry and fresh (as fresh as you can feel)
I hate smelling the blood too, but I read somewhere that unless the scent isreally strong only you can smell it. It's like smelling your own scent or something like that.
Yeah it's normal..and it sucks. Know that pads cause extra odor as well but if you feel more comfortable wearing pads ALWAYS make sure they are unscented. Those are a selling technique and only cause more problems like yeast infections and such.
Don't worry, a lot of girls are really self concious about this and a lot of girls go through it. It's normal to stink during that time just give it an extra scrub and wait til it's over! :)
I've had people comment on the scent. Fortunatly when I appologized they said not to worry it smelled nice!
