Period costumes and sparkly stuff as everyday clothing - normal?

Ever feel the desire to wear a 17th Century period costume on an ordinary day, out and about? Nope, not Halloween. A typical day. Sometimes, usual modern fashion gets a bit drab. Contrary to that, I love comfy clothes. But, I think I'm feeling a Marie Antoinette vibe. Occasionally, my mood desires plush extravagance. I need sparkly stuff. I want to see people wearing this stuff everywhere, more often. Like, normal?

I dress like I came from Victorian period everyday, so might as well.

Yep. Although sometimes I might crossover to renaissance.

I do too. However, it's difficult trying to find period clothing that isn't for costume use only. I want something durable.

You should work as a period actor at a Faire or a reenactment place.

I've always wanted to dress in Victorian style clothing, but until they come out with Victorian-style pajamas (pyjamas?) I'm sticking to cat shirts from Hot Topic.

Ha, when I read the title, I genuinely thought you meant period as in menstrual cycle costumes or something!

But yeah, some of those clothes are damn snazzy. Look a bit painful, some of them, though.
