WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?! like if i have to replace the toilet roll in the bathroom, and rip a bit off it, if the egde is not strait i rip tiny little bits off untill it is?! HELP!?

Perfectionists take few risks in life because it is safer. They believe if you do nothing then nothing can go wrong. This means they have VERY LITTLE FUN.

Ironically life is only one risk (gamble) after another, in relationships, job choices, where to live, everything.

Like the posts above, learn more on Google maybe get pro help to get through this.

yep you probably have OCD, it can be treated pick up some books on the topic and I would say go see a councellor who specializes in OCD. You are not alone, it is very common. I have a little bit of it. I have to check if I turned the iron off several times or the stove ect... but once you are aware it's OCD you can begin to control it.

Probably OCD. One of the characteristics is having the idea terrible things will happen if you don't perform an action perfectly. It's ludicrous and frankly narcissistic. The world doesn't revolve around you, it's also not magical in the literal sense. So you can be perfectly imperfect and it's O-KAY. Nobody will die or catch a disease because you didn't put the lid on 'enough' times. What you should do is print out in large font "IT'S OK TO BE IMPERFECT, NOBODY WILL DIE BECAUSE OF IT" and hang it somewhere where you can clearly see it, then act like 'normal' people do. And document your actual feelings of anxiety. It can't hurt to get some counseling on this, but don't allow them to put you on anti-depressants because that crap more often than not doesn't help people. Just DEAL with your anxiety. I wish you all the luck in the world.
