People you can't seem to get away from?

My husband and I have cut off contact with a couple that are 'toxic' to relationships. We told them we didn' want to associate with them anymore. That was 5 years ago. They just don't get it. We keep running into them and the wife keeps coming into my work and acting like everything is fine. No matter where we move, where we work or where we shop they are always around! Is it normal for everyone to have that one or two people you just CAN'T seem to get away from?!!!

      Yes, the house fire didn't work. They weren't home at the time. They were out following us around town. lol!

    That sounds very concerning actually, you said no matter where you move? Like... you've moved away and they've still "found" you? Because if that's what you meant, then I'm concerned that it could be a bit more serious than them just wanting to stay friends. That would sound more like stalking...

      It is creey!! It's a combination of stalking, people telling them (when they knew damn well not to), and a small small world.

        too bad it's hard to lawfully make and enforce a law against stalking. All the drafts they've come up with so far are laws that are too easily broken by people who aren't stalkers so for the most part, there is hardly any valid laws against it. Which is really creepy when you read about all the cases of stalking by psychotic people who eventually kidnap you or kill you or something. Yikes!
