People think i'm gay

Its awkward when it happens,but my female friend says that I'm just an attractive person in general and I'm not just attractive to females. So I guess that's good lol.

For some reason I'm always being hit on by straight guys (even though I'm gay) and most people assume I'm straight when they first meet me. I know I can be macho ,emotionally stunted and hung up but I don't think that I act butch. Does a guy have to constantly act like he's girly-boy for everyone to NOT automatically think he's straight!? Does this happen to other guys often?

Note to self- Must remember to wear a tutu whilst getting my nails done and watching romantic comedies. Perhaps this will make me more girly so that people wont think Im straight all the time.

DEfenetly dont act all macho its not right to be something your not. Its not such a big deal just ignore it, but if you cant buy a Shirt that says im straght or tatoo maybe?

I know many gay guys are very attracted to good looking straight guys. Even not-so-good-looking straight guys. So maybe you look very straight, and not gay at all. Just enjoy the fact that you're attractive.

hey this happens to me quite a bit as well. i always considered myself straight, but loads of people thought i was gay, although girls also used to hit on me. the thing is after a while i asked the friends who at first thought i was gay for their reasons, alhtough they raised some valid points i'm not going to change in the least bit. i take it as a compliment when people think i'm gay, when gay guys hit on me, and why? because those reasons are the best parts of who i am. and now i'm even thinking about trying stuff wiht guys (although that's a personal choice and only you can decide if you want to experiment or not), there is no need to have hang ups, those who get ot know you will realise you're not, you'll still find girls to date, and at least you have options if you ever wanna see what else is out there.

The same probalem goes on with me, I just get used to it after a while :/

Its the opposite. If you act macho all the time, people think you're gay but just don't say it to you for fear that you'll freak out on them. Sounds like maybe you're just a little feminine in manner. You probably dress well and have refined tastes. Awesome. More guys should be like that. There's a lot of girls out there that dig this. Don't worry, you'll reach an age where you wont care/even notice that stuff anymore. Being a total shit bag is considered masculine. No thanks, I'm cool off that. There's plenty of us like that out there. If you don't feel like you're gay, you're not gay. End of story.

I have had this happen.. I used to be kind of creeped out by it years ago. Now I take it as a compliment. I figure it has to be a lot harder for them to ask than it is for you to answer. So keep that in mind. Now if they are trying to pull your pants down and grab a handful that might be odd.

I've had a few proposals myself... it happens. Just be direct about it and you'll do fine.
