People putting god into everything?

Is it normal to be annoyed when everyone throws God into everything? Conversation, songs, a good book or movie? I go on facebook and am bombarded by "Thanking God today for this wonderful day!!" and equally annoying things by my friends.

Why does God have to be in EVERYTHING?

I believe in God and try to live a good life and all, but I don't want to be around him 24/7. I don't think God always has something to do with a rainy day or a hurricane... sometimes that just comes from weather patterns. Am I alone?

First off, it is entirely normal. Some people just throw god into everything, though I'm probably biased. Second off, and this is coming from an atheist, all the people saying "There is no god" in the comments can go do something involving their genitals and a finger. Just because you don't believe in it, doesn't mean you have to go saying crap like that.

I'm a Christian too, but I don't relate everything that comes up to God either, and I do get annoyed at people who do. God is definitely a presence in my life, but I don't make my entire life about Him - I don't like listening to Christian music and I like to watch movies and TV shows that have nothing to do with Christianity. I don't think it's wrong.

You are young but you will learn to appreciate more when you get older.

I am anything but young lol but thank you for saying that. People have said I have wisedom beyond my years, and I know what to appreciate and what is just there. I think answers like this come from people who have no real answers but want to make it seem like they do.

      No offense.

I think this is kind of sad, I believe in Him too and He may not affect to weather but He does give us gifts. If it is your friends saying this, just let them be. I understandv with the media and everything else but let your friend be.

I do, I let her be, and I say nothing. It's just irritating to hear her go "god bless this day" and "thank god for my hockey tickets!" and this, that and the other. (before you say 'maybe tickets to an event is really a miracle she couldn't otherwise afford!' you should know she's rich and could afford them without god's help.)

Oh, I didn't know. Maybe you should just talk to her and tell her. Does she know you believe? Maybe she is trying to convert you subconciously. I hope this works out for you.
