If you live in the US, you've probably heard about this horrifying new show "Here comes honey boo boo". It's about a child beauty pageant winner(likely because the judges feared being eaten by her mom) and her redneck family. Within a few minutes of trying to watch this show I felt like I needed a shower. Won't be attempting that again. When I saw how many kids the mother had, I couldn't help but think, "How could a man fuck this she-beast waterbed more than once?" Apparently they all have different fathers (surprise, surprise). Perhaps they were captivated by her ability to grow a third chin? But I digress.. Just look into this show and see how trashy and repulsive these people are. They make me ashamed to be from the same state as them. I know plenty of 'rednecks' but they don't behave like this. I'm aware there's ALOT of families like this, but why glorify them and put them on TV? It's bad enough they put the kid in a child beauty pageant. The events are terrifying and gross on their own.

is it normal that I wish people like this who take being white trash (any color trash for that matter) over the top would just go away? Maybe be sent to an island somewhere so they can just inbreed themselves to extinction.

    I generally try to be sweet and tolerant about the way people wish to live their lives but little angers me more than people who use their Procreation capabilities without any regard for the lives that are resulting. Every time you give birth to and raise a child, you are adding another thread to the tapestry that is a generation and you are strenghtening your values within society by further solidifying them in by melding them into more human beings. I wish that people would take this more seriously and examinem TRULY examine, whether or not their values are worth being further seeped into society.

      You make a good point about their value system (or really lack thereof) but really what they need to ask themselves is do they have the skills, patience, intelligence, altruism, and financial abilities to undertake such a daunting task?

      For many the answer is a resounding NO.

    Correction, I thought they were from my home state, Kentucky, but really they're in Georgia. I'm so fucking relieved. And yes those pageants are wrong and should be banned, yesterday. (OP)

    I think that pageant show shit should be banned. What they're doing to those kids is extremely disturbing. I've only see about one or 2 episodes and I lost minutes of my life that I'll never be able to reclaim....

    I just watched this on youtube, almost threw up several times, then looked through some IIN stories to clean my brain (...I never thought that would happen...hah) and I come across this.

    I never heard of this show, but I get what you mean. I hate all these stupid reality shows they're putting out lately. But the thing is, stupidity sells. That's why they do it. Poeple watch them because they are stupid, and the stupider the show is, the more viewers it's gonna get. Annoying but true. That's why Jerser Shore has so many fans. It's stupid.
