People don't deserve privacy

I think that people's privacy "rights" are stupid. I was on youtube and some of the videos I liked are now private videos. I liked the video so I was obviously going to look at it again. They don't have an ethical or moral right to do that to me and the people who had seen the video previously. I hate hidden facebook accounts. I also feel a twinge of rage when it says I can't send a friend request but have to message instead. Privacy does not have to be done away with altogether, but people shouldn't be able to easily hide without a court order. If I save something on a website I should be able to go back to it later because I feel that I now have a right to it. When people's "rights" get in my way, I get super offended and pissed. Also, when I pay for a computer program I now own that copy and I can do whatever I want with it. The owner does not have a right to make it delete itself from my computer after I use it. I'm so tired of this and I just want to improve my life.

You sound like a creep and a stalker. You are upset because you cant bother strangers on the internet? I have my friend requests turned off for everyone but friends of friends (because you cant turn them off entirely) because creeps send friend requests constantly and those losers still bother me with DMs instead as if they have absolutely no self respect or basic understanding of privacy what so ever. People have private profiles because they only want a few select people to communicate with and see what they are up to just like normal sane people don't go around telling random strangers outside about their private business.
As for videos you have no right deciding what the creater chooses to do with it, it's their content.
If you want to improve your life stop stalking people and whining about what content creators do with their own material and find something actually important to focus on.

Same reason I turned my friend requests to friends of friends only. I also changed my profile picture to something other than me, and the creeps' DMs stopped immediately.

Are you the guy that's stalking his ex best friend and his fiancee?

Dude, if you want to improve your life, find something else to fill your life with instead of obsessing over what other people are doing. Some examples of that are therapy, new hobbies, a higher paying job, a trade school, or maybe even a dating site so you can find someone to replace the guy that has no interest in you.

I remember it too, and I wish that this dude would get professional help!

    • Yes I am. I'm infuriated that he has a private facebook. I always thought that if he created one, it would show up and I could send a friend request or just look at what's public. I actually don't know for a fact they are engaged, but I want to crash their wedding and possibly put a stop to it.

Dude get a life. I've read your story and you're obviously infatuated with your friend and upset he's chosen a partner and it's not you. You need therapy because this is NOT normal. You are a stalker, and one with absolutely zero self awareness.

Crashing his wedding is in no way a good idea. If he doesn't already, he will really think you are crazy and probably file a restraining order against you.

You are not going to stop their wedding. You cannot make someone fall in love with you. The best thing you can do is seek therapy about this and try to move on, and I think it would do you some good to avoid the Internet and social media altogether for awhile.

Your past posts tell me this: You're chasing an image of what your friend used to be. He's moved on and is most likely a completely different person. Trying to contact him isnt helping you. You should probably move on. Like I said, a new hobby, a new skill, another job, therapy, or a relationship with someone else might help with this.

The only thing that would be put a stop to would be you after someone kicks your ass, or they call the cops.

Perhaps as you hate peoples privacy so much, you should be tied up and given a public flogging in the streets, like they did to weirdos in the Middle Ages.

buying something is different than someones privacy being violated. I have right to keep my thing personal and out of anyone's eyes I don't want to see it. If it offends you get over it! Now if you buy something it is yours and I agree with the computer program, I buy the computer and the programing an should be able to do what I want with it, An if you look hard enough there are ways to overcome microsoft keeping you from changing what you want.

Who really gives a shit whether or not someone else's Facebook profile is set to private?! This kind of obsession isn't normal.

You sound unwell. Please speak to someone about this.

I disagree except the last point with computer programs. The people who posted a video originally have definitely more right to it than someone who just happened to stumble across it. And while we should try to think in advance instead, people can end up regretting what they post on the internet or even have something posted against their will in some cases. Then they should have the option to withdraw it as far as still possible.

You are an entitled creep. You are not entitled to violating others just because you feel you deserve it. Also, you realize some videos are blocked because copyright or content. If the video was flagged 18+ by youtube its going to be blocked. Also some countrys block media from there country as well. Its not always a privacy thing.
