    You might not be aware of this, but today's nerd culture is a way of distracting intelligent citizens away from today's current events and government corruption. It's a very effective way of marginalizing citizens who may well become dissenters and seek to change the system. That's why it's actually becoming increasingly hip to be a nerd, where in the past it carried a negative connotation. So that said, fuck this pokemon bullshit and do something more constructive. Same goes for D&D, Game of Thrones, World of War Craft, medieval fantasy novels etc, etc, ad nauseam.

        Not really true. In the US the the citizens possess far far more weaponry than the military and the police combined. And if you're planning to say, "well look at all the war technology and jets and tanks and yada yada," don't start. Just think of how well Vietnam went. It's also a pretty narrow minded view to assume that any sort of revolution or change to the system has to spill blood.

          It's just as absurd to think if it were to come to that, that we'd have any chance.

          The cruel motherfuckers in government will never change. And if you think population control isn't beneath them theres far worse they're capable of and I doubt that any chance could be made on a diplomatic level.
