The atmosphere consists mostly of methane and it's surface has been over-run by Klingons.
My neighbor likes to gaze longingly at Uranus wondering if man will ever penetrate its crusty surface and plant his flag.
Me to i wouuld love to see what it feels like to be in that atmosphere, and I heard its a gas giant like jupiter so it would be awesome to sink inside it and resolve its mysteries even if it means my death. Personally I am a big fan of the gas giants, Mars is boring, but the gas giants have so much mysteries in them, Jupiter's red spot, Saturn's ring, Uranus's tilted axis and Neptune's beauty.
Mars was kinda nice last time I was there. A bit dry for my taste, but it sure beats Venus, hands down.
Unfortunately they have made Pluto a non-planet, and that has really hurt tourism there, so it's getting hard to get a flight.
Saturn definitely has the best sky, sitting on the veranda of your cottage, those rings just pop out at you at sunset. But I do believe Mars is still me favorite.
For me Mars is boring with solid surface, but the gas giants have so much mysteries in them, Jupiter's red spot, Saturn's ring, Uranus's tilted axis and Neptune's beauty. People have landed several probes into Mars, but they never try to land them on the gas giants. The only time they tried to do one in Jupiter it was crushed by its pressure differences. This is disapointing, and I really fascinate the idea of going there by a space craft sinking through it, even if I die getting burned by its radiation or squashed by the immense gaseous pressure.
Is it weird I wish there were more to choose from?
Seven doesn't feel like enough.
The solar system has only 8 planets, and amongst common people (not including astronomers) planets beyond the solar system are not so well known enough.
Let's create GMO microbes (sinkers and floaters) to terraform the atmospheres of all our neighboring planets.
Wow i was so surprised to see that i voted neptune and it was the one with the most votes. I didn't really know why i voted neptune actually. i just like the way it looks and the name.
