Opening cans makes me gag.

For some reason, the sound of a fingernail scraping against the metal where you drink from on a soda can really grosses me out to the maximum. This almost NEVER occurs, but when someone opens a can and their nail scrapes just once it makes me extremely nauseous and light headed. Is it normal to have such an extreme reaction to this rare sound?

    Just appreciate the fact that you were born in this era so you don't have to hear that sound a lot. Also try gettting an electric can opener so you hear the motor rather than the can being cut open.

    Yes, a have a few unpleasant reactions to certain sounds myself, and also know a lot of people who do.
