Open your eyes when going for a wee during the night!

Ok so i needed a wee, the clock had just turned 3:30 up in the attic bedroom, i made my way towards the stairs. Stupidly ionly opened one eye, (thinking it would be easier to go back to sleep) i got to the bathroom and didnt swith the light on as the extractor fan wakes everyone up (yano coz im a nice considerate person and would want to wake up the rest of the family and hurt their sleep feelings and ruin their dreams) so i sat down, started to release this wee only to realise the sit was down!!!! so i peed all over the seat but the strange/weird ting is that i didnt realise i had weed everywhere until it was drippin down my leg bad times :( so i was mopping up the wee and my mom came in caught me red handed messin about with my wee. Is this normal?
