Some people on here are good at reading speech patterns and regularly guess the OP. Which destroys the Anon function which defeats the purpose of this entire website.
Who has the time to bother with that? I guess you could block someone and see which posts disappear.
Do people here actually not know how to do it? Pretty common sense if you think about it, and I dont just mean text patterns but to find out pretty concretely.
I get to hold that secret then. >:)
I think most people would know mine, they're like boojum's too long.
That being said I haven't asked a question or been an OP for some time now.
You can tell by their speech pattern. Lots of people could tell when I am the original poster.
I used to do the same, but I was concerned about the real people I was asking about somehow finding my posts and realising I post about them on anonymous forums. Maybe I was scared they would print it all off, put it in a ring binder labelled “EVIDENCE” and slam it down in front of me. Now I accept that they will probably never even stray into this swamp in the first place.
I'm egotistical enough to believe that an OP by me would be instantly recognised by a lot of long-term members.
The only reason that's never happened is because I've never asked a question.
Your posts do have a distinctive character, sometimes I can tell by the title alone.
