I don't mind it. A couple of American accents can be kind of annoying, but most of them sound gentle and normal.
The accent is OK, but I hate it when they say that they have no accent LOL
I like some more than others. I like the Boston accent and I really like the strong New York accent ("I'm axing you for cheeseboyga"). I quite like Cletus' hillbilly accent in The Simpsons and Hank's friend with the really Texan accent in King of the Hill. Valspeak kind of amuses me too.
I can't determine all the accents, though. I've got a friend from Colorado and she just seems to have what I'd call a standard American accent.
Southern american accents are like listening to someone from Cardiff--very annoying after a short time.
You make a great point there. I love South Walian accents but Cardiff doesn't sound like one. It's got something of London about it. It's harsh. Capital city syndrome, maybe?
Although, considering where I'm from, I'm probably the last person who should be commenting on other people's accents. I'm virtually unintelligible.
which one? they've got as many as we do... rather awkward....
i like the classic "yeah, takin out the trash babe" we see in action movies
but the new yorker "wewll hieyaaa, daiym"
a southern accent is a little addictive... i find myself copying it :S
OK,I'm American, but I'm Californian, we have basically no accent that I can identify, what do we do? Asians make ls rs. Southern hicks make er sound like are. Brits (no offense) can't pronounce "h" and er sound like a. What do Californians do?
I get you.
That ditzy, cheesy high school musical kind of accent.
"Like, totally~ whatevuuuuur, dude, like just seriouslyy? Oh my gosh."
When I was on a train in Italy recently, there was a bunch of young American girls infront of me that wouldn't shush. For hours.
I was like, "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" D:
Then there is the accent where one just pronounces each letter as it is meant to be pronounced.
