I have meet this guy online and am about to book air tickets to fly to another country to meet him. We have never spoken on the phone. Is this normal?
I sincerely hope that you are either taking a close friend/family member with you or meeting in a very public place and not planning to stay at this guy's house.
Atleast talk to him on the phone and get to know him a bit. It's highly unlikely that the guy is what you think he is just by talking online. Don't be overadventerous!
I think this is extremely risky and potentially dangerous. Now I'm all for romanticism. I'm even all for online dating. But with technologies today like cell phones, Skype, etc i don't know why you wouldn't have done much more research first.
i did that once but i took my 6.5 brother with me and when i walked in a man about 6.11 grabbed me and my brother tackled him and we ran to a police station and socked him a couple of times and kicked him in-between his legs and got him in some kind of wrestling hold i guess? the cops came asked a few questions handcuffed him and he is in prison for attempted rape you might not be so lucky
... What if you get raped or murdered? Or raped and murdered? What if he's a she? Or what if he has no legs and buck teeth?what if he's not really where you are flying too and your left alone?
What if you end up marrying him?

u should be very careful....he might be someone you didn't he was.....and it is VERY dangerous...
you can go to see him but under security of your friends or you family members only..
you must also know what r u really doing????
and you should know the person very will which you are going to meet....
and first why don't you ask him to come to you and see you in your country?????

I personally think that's a bit dangerous. Meeting somebody over the internet and not knowing them. Watch the movie Taken. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you. I know it sounds creepy, but there are some really bad people out there. If I absolutely had to go, I would go with somebody close to me at the least.
