One word texts make me want to pimp slap somebody... is that normal?

Let's make this simple. Alright, that was a lie... nothing is simple with me. :) I absolutely hate it when my boyfriend sends me one word texts, even if only one word is required. If i ask him something and he says "yea" for some reason it just really irks me. I always pour my heart out to him, and he usually he does too but when he's at a stupid party his texts get so short. I really want to type in all caps and tell him to at least add a smiley when all you say is no. -_-

    I'm sorry to say phillostopher is right. It's normal to get annoyed about that but if he's busy then u should let him do his thing

    Well maybe when he is at a party he does not want to talk to you! Give the guy some space, or go with him to the parties. No one likes to text when they are trying to have fun. If he sends you one word text's otherwise then maybe he just doesn't want to be bothered. Girls get mistaken that guys have this special place that when they don't want to be bothered by anyone that doesn't include them. NOT TRUE! You guys are not trapped in a fairy tale and if you feel like you are not getting enough attention or quality conversations then express that and stop acting as if the one word text are the problem. You care about him, and thats good, but maybe he expresses himself better in person and not through texting. Get off the technology and go for a long walk and get what you really want...a real conversation. I hope I've helped :)

    I hate it too, but more because the phone bill doesn't care if a texts is only comprised of one word--it still counts. If I'm sending a text that only needs a one word answer I'll still end up putting at least a bit more into it than that one word just so it feels like it was worth sending.
