Old man and the pipe

Ok so I had this odd dream a short time ago. I've never heard of a dream like this either. About four years ago me and my, now ex, best friend had a fall out. It was a very quite fall out too which means we never argued or anything. We just drifted apart. She basically got her first boyfriend and abandoned me. I don't hate her but we just haven't been the same since. Anyways I had this really strange dream and it went like this:

Me and my friend were playing tag or some other chase game in a dark empty road. There were no other people besides us. My friend was a little ahead of me. All the stores and shops we passed were empty and dark. Except one. I started to slow down, running at a jogging pace, when I saw a furniture store that had a light on. It was very bright against the darkness of the cobbled street and the vacancy of the stores crammed beside it. There were no people in it. When I had past the furniture store I saw that my friend was very ahead of me. She had already turned and had started to go down a stairway. By the time I had gotten to the stairway she had disappeared. Once I got down to the very bottom of the stairway I saw a door and beside the door were some stairs leading up. I went through the door. It was a very small room no bigger than a medium sized closet. An old man was sitting on a crate facing a pipe that stuck out of the wall. I asked the man if he’d seen a girl named Alexis. He pointed to pipe and said she's in there. I killed her. (Implying that he killed her and stuffed her body in the pipe which oddly enough was far too small to fit a human body in) I looked at him baffled. Then I heard steps coming from the staircase beside the door. And thats how it ended.

So is this normal? Has anyone else experienced a dream like the one I just described?
