Ok, so for some reason yanks call real football soccer, and they call HandEgg Football
So what do you think American "Football" be called

Depending on my audience, I'll call it "American football."
Handegg reminds me of that game you play as a kid where you balance an egg on a spoon and race around an obstacle course.
Personally, I think the rugby ball looks more like an egg than the American football. I feel bad for the poor bird that laid such a bizarrely shaped egg.

American Fussball. I never really understood why it is "football" because sure there's a kicker and punter but a foot touches the ball maybe 3% of the game. I still love it though
I think it should be called football as it's played with mostly the feet. What they call "Football" in this country has nothing to do with playing with the feet. So you're right, HandEgg would be a much better name or even Diamond-something.
Definitely football. Soccer sounds like something from the 1920s, like when trousers were called "bags" and your clothes were your "togs". Soccer is short for "association football" anyway.
As for American HandEgg, I genuinely nearly peed my pants. American HandEgg. I love it!
I prefer "handlime", because I've never seen an egg that shape. I'm sort of into "soccer" now that you've said it sounds like something from the 1920s, though.

Hahaha, awesome. It appears that modern football uniforms are pretty much exactly the same as they were in the 1920s. They're still much less ridiculous looking than American football uniforms, though. Some people here find American football uniforms sexy, which is confusing to me, because football players in uniform look like massive children to me.
