Oh the joys of thrift shopping!

Sooo, I have a startling confession to make. To everyday people, co workers..etc they look at my outfit and always complement it. However, what they dont know is that I am a thrift store junkie. Is this normal? Seriously, ALL my clothes, shoes, purses, accessories..etc. I buy at the goodwill, because at the mall/retail they cost 10X more. Rarely do I buy something "full price" I always shop clearance/second hand...etc. The items are almost new. I told a friend once and she gave me this look, as if it wasnt normal, but then again, i dont know anyone who thrift shops as much as i do for practically anything i find (it could be that im very much intrigued by the craft of fashion, vintage, and design.

Is this normal? Thanks guys/gals.

The thrift shop in my town used to carry unopened sex toys. They had them in boxes behind the glass counter in the back of the store. Some of them dated back to the late 90's, man. I wanted to ask them: WHO THE FUCK BUYS A SEX TOY AND DOESN'T OPEN/USE THE DAMN THING?! What did you do? Did you store it in your basement for the last 17 years and then finally realize it's taking up much needed space? Is that when you decided to donate the thing to the thrift shop with all your undesirable silverware and moth ridden granny panties you old senile hag?! All I knew was that I wasn't buying something that fucking old even if it costs 2 bucks! EWWWW!

Good for you. Just don't judge those of us who aren't into that sort of thing. I knew a woman from work who was into second hand stuff and was really annoying and tried pushing her preference on other people all the time.

Ive seen some serious hoarders in there like the annoying ones who grab like 1000 things in their cart and push and shove ppl out of their way. one lady once was digging through my basket trying to get her paws on a DOLCE & GABANNA cute ass outfit i found. She really wanted to snatch it from me.

True theres nothing wrong with it, but im sure everyone has their limits. The only aspect of that i dont like is the fact that they go ahead and resell used underwear. ? gross!

Other than that, i go thrifting when they have those 50% sales at goodwill. They have some AMAZING deals. Cute shoes, clothes,..etc

It's fun but here it only seems to be old people's clothes, which isn't always a bad thing(I like vintage too), except that they are mostly like granny suits with the shoulder pads and everything
I usually only buy clothes from the sales/clearance too, I love second-hand stores and consignment shops like plato's closet, and there is an army surplus up the road from me which is pretty cool

  well the vintage stuff is awesome because its like a base model, and you can always adjust the fit or make fixes to the clothes.
  
  But some of the details on the clothes are good trend setters. Like I have my suspicions that designers go in there browsing for ideas, and share with their CEOS or fellow designers and it goes on the runway. Seriously, where do these ppl get their inspirations

Normal. I also enjoy getting clothes from thrift shops. I usually just go there for used manga books though. They're always putting the hentai books in the children's section. I've told them about the books, but they just don't give a shit.

  I go in there for used textbooks, for 2 dollars. at my school bookstore theyre about 200 dollars. ITS THE SAME BOOK
