Odd couple

Ive been in a relationship with this guy for about 5 months now and me and him are really in love, hes really the best boyfriend ive ever had. The thing is we look really mismatched so to speak. I dont wanna consider myself goth or anything like that but i kinda look that way most of the time, not over the top or anything like that. My favorite music has been metal since i was 10 yrs old, during my mid teens i did like dressing goth and stuff, well a lot more exaggerated than now i would dye my hair crazy colors, wear black lipstick, etc. I grew out of most of that(well mainly the over the top stuff) when i was about 17 (im 20 btw) but im pretty much still the same in some noticeable ways, i still look goth in a way just not like over the top. I dnt like the word goth actually but i dnt know how else to explain it. My interests have never changed ive always liked, art, horror films, metal, playing music, etc. The thing is my boyfriend is like the complete opposite of me, he kinda looks like a cholo, he loves rap/hip-hop music, he dresses wayyyy different than me- like dickies and flannel shirts for example and he doesnt really like my music. Whenever me and him are out together people are like shocked when i tell them he's my boyfriend, when i met his brother's who are pretty much like him by the way, they were really surprised as well. The best way i can describe how we look is like Gomez and Morticia Adams, he looks pretty average and she looks like a vampire or something. Well anyway yeah i wonder if thats normal, anyone ever seen this before? IIN?

If you are happy together, who cares what anyone else thinks!

My last relationship, my boyfriend and I looked completely different as well. I didn't care. I wear dark shirts and purple pants a great deal of the time, and wear kind of odd cloths.

He wore nerdy/indie cloths all the time. We were opposites. All that matters is you balance each other out. Totally normal.
