Often when I see some footage on TV or old photos or videos, I always wish I lived in that time rather than 2010. Even to times before I was born. I want to be in the 4th grade again. I want to be 70 years old in 1911. I want to be 16 in 1971. I want to be 50 in 1984 etc, etc.

On the Internet I often go to youtube and search dates to watch footage of anything from a different decade than now.

I like to watch vintage footage of anything and always wonder what those people are doing today. If a time machine existed I think I would do nothing but use it.

    bring back the 90s! im obseesed with the early 90s everything jus seems better, sometimes when i look at cars on the road i think of the equivilent car that would have been around in the early 90s ie if i see a ford mondeo, i think of a sierra or a cortina i love my messed up brain

    Nostalgia isn't just old games, shows, movies, etc. It's the collection of precious memories you made growing up. That's why I hate it when Gen-One pokemon fans are insulted for loving the original stuff.

    ya I've had those feelings too. I was a child of the 70s, grew up with Josie and the Pussycats, Disco, Casper the Friendly Ghost, The Flintstones, many, many other shows/movies, then into the awesome 80s with New Wave and Pop, everything was in excess and extravagance-where wealth was celebrated. There was so much creativity and innocence in those times.

    I'm also a fan of the 40s, 50s and 60s, great music and movies from those times as well.

    I'm not too fond of the 90s and 2000s aside from House/Trance music, video games and some movies, but there were some good things about them-especially if you happen to be an investor in the stock market.

    But ya I have a great fondness for previous decades-not just for western culture but also my own Indian culture as well.

    I'm also like that ' I don't like evolution evrything was simple back then and now our life's complicated and we're almost all stressed out ..I think evrything was better back then

    I do this too! I'd love to live in the 1800s at my age now OR the 1960s-1970s.=D

    No its normal. Look at this world we live in?
    It's not terrible but the timing feels so wrong!
    Maybe it's just time for a revolution. I always wish I could live in the 60's.

    Yes and no. Penn and Teller did a show on this and instead of writing about the "past" and how it is better, it would be better just to tell you where to get it.

    It was in season 6 I think but it was the last episode of that season. In hindsight, the only thing I miss was television that was written well. There is too much crap on television today, even if it looks outstanding.
