i split up with this boy and now i miss him sooooooo much. I hated the way he treated me because i didn't get the attention a girlfriend should. i don't understand why i still like him. i think about him alot and my teacher said my name wrong the other day, and because that is the way he said my name when he says it fast i wanted to break down and cry!

is it right for me to feel this way about somebody i dumped? i just want to know how to get over this obsession

    I think everyone is a little attatched to all of their ex's... i mean if you see your ex walking in the street even if you don't want them you still want them to notice you right?
    You will get over it in time but i suppose he will always have a place in your heart.

    I feel bad for you. We've all been there, girl. Love is this chemical thing in your brain, it's the same connection that is tied with having obsessive compulsive disorder. It's just a mild sickness.

    You need to do all you can to break away. As much as you may think it will work, the fact remains, you two broke up for a reason. Always remember that reason.

    The relationship is broken for a reason... and unless it can be repaired... it's time to move on, sister.

    First of all, what makes you so thirsty for the attention you think you should have? It is not his job to fulfill your need for attention. Second of all, I think it is normal to obsess over a guy you can't have. But it's not healthy.... I for one, have never been the attention-hungry, possessive, or obsessive type. I think that's one of the reasons so many guys are friends with me... because I don't care if they like me or care about me or not....

    Ive gone through the same thing but all i can tell you is time heals everything. I broke up with my ex who acted alot like yours but i ended up taking him back..and he turned right around and cheated and broke up with me. I obsessed for weeks checking his myspace and everythin. Now that im in a new and much better relationship, i realize how much better off i am and how not worth my pain he way. Now hes married and i could care less =] It will just take time...
