Number one worker

I am so competitive at work. I'm obsessed. Whenever there's a contest going on, I will go out of my way to try to win it, even if it means starting at hour early (without pay), working through breaks, etc. This is technically "cheating," and people have complained to the boss about me many times. But it's like I can't stop. I MUST be the best!!

You're exactly what these billionaire corporation owners want... If they had 20,000 of you the world would be a better place..

Who knows you might even get a 10cent raise if you keep working hard...

    good luck

It's good that you believe in yourself and that you exceed within your work placement.

But eventually you may lose the trust and friendship of your co-workers; just be careful otherwise you may find yourself lonely and shut out.

You remind me of myself. But after a while co-workers were giving me dirty looks. Be careful.

It's normal to be competitive, and that's a healthy thing. This will enable you to get further in life. If you become the best at what you do, you will go far.

But, you also need to make sure that this competitiveness is working to YOUR benefit, not just to that of the company you work for. Contests are often designed to play on the competitive nature of people, in order to increase productivity and motivation. It can be a way of getting more out of people for less money.

Make sure that, in exercising your competitiveness, you are actually giving yourself the best deal. If not, explore environments where your competitive drive will give you a better deal.

I guess there's nothing wrong with that. Just don't make a habit out of it. It might change you. People around you will dislike you more. Just cool it a little. :) There's nothing wrong with healthy competition.
