Not everyone should be allowed to have a whistle!

Some people just cannot handle a whistle responsibly and I think if that's the case, citizens should have the right to take away that person's whistle without consequence.

Especially if they're an annoying little twat, like the majority of adolescent boys i know. If so then yes, get that whistle away from them. Otherwise they'd never shut the hell up.

This makes very little sense, your logic, that is. I do think whistle use in summer camps should be reformed. Their were quite a few councilors who abused their whistles. There was one guy that blew his loudly in my face all because I told him that he was being too loud. For all I know, that incident could have damaged some of my hearing. Potential as well as current councilors NEED to be taught about the importance of Ear Health. I'm surprised parents haven't sued because a loudly blown whistle made their child deaf.

If someone is acting irresponsibly with a whistle, it is very easy to forcibly remove that person (and then probably bring them up on disorderly conduct charges). This would probably not result in the injury or death of anyone.

Such is not true if we substitute the whistle for a gun. Instead it would be better to take away the gun before this irresponsible person finds himself in a situation where he may harm others.
