So I am 22. Male, gay. I have only had sex once, bottoming, and it was awful and far from enjoyable. TBH the idea of receiving anal sex has never appealed to me, I always imagine myself being the one on top. That said, I'd like to be versatile, or at least *try* and enjoy anal stimulation, which seems much harder than it should be. I have tried masturbation but it just does not work. So far I seem to enjoy - sorry for being too explicit - playing with the "outside" of my rectum but as soon as I try and insert a finger into the hole pleasure stops and it just feels weird and uncomfortable. Am I doomed to topping? Will I never be able to enjoy the forbidden pleasures of anal sex as a receiver? Or do I just have to practice more? I do use lots of lube.

    I'm not a guy, so I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not, but have you tried buying different kinds of toys in different sizes to see what works for you?

    As a 100% straight guy, I'm not sure my opinion is of any value to you, but if it was a straight gal saying the same thing, I'd tell her that once isn't really much of a test as to how much one enjoys anything. I'd tell her to find a mature, caring lover who will concentrate on her pleasure and not his own.

      You do insist that people need to find a mature, experienced partner in order to achieve sexual and emotional pleasure, I find it all too relative.

      Do you happen to be a senior citizen or involved with one? Don't misinterpret me, but your advice seems a little biased.

        I am a happily married man, so I have no ulterior motives. However, like anything else, it takes a variety of partners and a certain amount of experience to become a good lover. Very few young men can be that experienced. They are generally selfish, and more interested in the quantity of sexual encounters than the quality. Also the 'prettier' they are, the less they need a partner to achieve their pleasure at all.
        An older man will appreciate a younger woman much more than some young buck. He will treat her better and has more time to spend with her, as he is better situated in life to give her the attention she would like.
        And yes, I'm old, but I was young once and so were all my friends.

    Being gay doesn't automatically equal a love for anal sex. There are lots of gay people that don't like it just as there are lots of straight people who don't. I am not a big fan myself. It is messy and requires a lot of prep word. My husband agrees so it is very rare that we do it. We mostly just stick to oral which we both find easier and more pleasurable.
