Okay, so my parents MARRIED in their late teens,
As to me,
i'm seventeen, i'm not allowed to date.

Has anyone else experienced this????

    They could be afraid that you make the mistakes they made at your age or you did something that betrayed their trust. Just wait until your 18, then you'll be a legal adult and able to make your own decisions.

    Perhaps they regretted doing it so young. My parents had sex at a young age and they always screamed at me and my brother about not having sex and assumed we already were at puberty. Neither me or my brother were stupid enough to get someone pregnant at age 16.

    I wasn't "allowed" to date until 18. I didn't listen and got grounded a lot for it.

    You just need to tell them that this is the age were you can take on your own responsibilities and do whatever you please and usually when people find love at this age the usually get married at the age 25-30+ and if this doesn't work you will have the choice to either move out and get your own life or stay at your parents house my brother moved out about your age and he is doing great right now
