Normal to have the same dream almost every night?

Alright I've always heard that dreams are just your thoughts running at night and they always mean something. But is it normal to have the same type of dream almost every night?

For about the past year I have dreams about the world ending. Makes sense because that's something that scares any sane person, but I have it almost ever night. Sometimes the world ends like in the movie 2012 due to earthquakes, or floods; other reasons are an ice age, solar flare, mass sickness, and even zombies(I know its dumb.) And in the end I'm always alone trying to find my family and friends. I know it sounds silly but these dreams are really starting to freak me out.

Can anyone help me out with a little insight?

    It's normal. I don't have it almost every night but I do have it atleast once a month.

    I think Zombie dreams are fun, actually. lol I use to be terrified but now I fight and It's pretty entertaining and I wake up feeling awesome xD

    I have the same nightmare EVERY night of the room where one of my friends was murdered when I was ten

    At least they're not dreams about a horribly burnt man, in a striped sweater and knives on the end of his fingers
