We didn't fight or have any problems that's the strange thing and we were together years. He just up and left and dated someone else now he broke up with them and is communicating with me again.

I don't think they know I know they were dating someone so I guess I won't mention it to them but I do love them so much it's insane.. do you think it's normal to ask them out again?

    I did not vote as I did not know what to vote. You say he is back after playing the field. Maybe he has learned his lesson and you're the best but if he did it once it may happen again. A lot of communication is in order and take it real slow and cautious. At the first sign of trouble kick him to the curb for good.
