Normal that my parents think i'm 5'6?

I'm a girl and I'm 5'3 and my parents constantly tell people I'm 5'6 and tall..Is this weird or what? Like my father would describe me to an old friend of his on the phone and say "yeah, she's tall now 5'6". I even told him multiple times that I am 5'3, but he insists that I'm lying. He literally told me "That's not possible, you're tall, you're probably over 5'6."

No offense, but this annoys me because he calls me tall all the time when I'm below average height and this makes me feel kinda odd and I dunno why.

My best friend is 5'4 and she's taller than me yet he THINKS SHES 5'8. He also thinks that my mother whom is a midget at around 4'11 is 5'4. HE'S SO WEIRD AND MY MOM THINKS SHES 5'4 NOW LOL.

    Maybe he is short for a man, so saying you are 5'6 in his mind means he is taller than that.

    Very weird.
    Personally I would just take the complement, being tall is a very good thing. XD
    Are you lanky? Being Lanky/thin makes you look taller then you actually are. Just as stout/stocky built people look shorter even if theyre tall.

    If it really bothers you that much, just get measuring tape and proove it.
