Some of the responses on here it's like they didn't really read what you wrote or they think they're psychologists but wrote awful advice
What's terrible for you is not terrible for all.
The reason I ask advice is to get new, novel ideas I haven't thought of, or perhaps confirm my own before I act.
A therapist will charge you $100 an hour ams they won't even give advice. They make you come up with your own answer because they know most advice is shit or ignored anyway.
Well, this a place where people come to ask opinions, and opinions are subjective.
The irony is that when you decide a piece of advice is terrible, that's no more than an opinion, just as the original advice is.
If people want the advice of a qualified psychologist, they should go talk to a qualified psychologist. But here's the thing: what they'll get from a psychologist will also be just an opinion.
Having said that, IIN doesn't suffer from a shortage of trolls and jokers. Even so, my impression is that a consensus often develops in the more popular threads.
Normal. If you don't want to hear it, just don't ask. Some people just want to be heard or validated.
