It depends on what you difine as a dimension.
I differentiate between 6 or more definitions of the word dimension that doesn't include size. I'm currently writing something similar to a dissertation about advanced scientific topics. A lot of stuff originally defied as fringe science. As far as I can tell there are two things that I think what you could mean.

    1. Extra dimensional space travel which is roughly translated when you open a door and the space behinde it leads into an extra dimension or pocket dimension. (Please note the difference between teleportation and this one)

    2. High dimensional perception which is again roughly translated when you are able to percent beyond 3 dimension (note that time is a special extra dimension or special extradimensional attribute). In most cases (except singularities) there are at least 3+1, 4+1 or 9+3 dimensions around you. It really depends on the theory. Quantum Mechanics works on 3+1 if I interpreted that right ψ(×,t) and is based on positions. (Currently away from my books and whiteboard so don't judge me). Humans are only able to percent 3 dimensions and only limited. But just because you can't percent something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If you refer to Schrödingers cat you know what I'm talking about. As far as my own theory goes (if it's not an interpretation of other theories) a high dimensional change can influence a lot of attributes of a particle in lower dimensions. It's simply not in a typical three dimensional space anymore.

What I can tell you is that every dimension adds more and more complicated attributes and conditions. The mathematics is such a deep pain :( . It's a cool concept to be able to percept higher dimensions BUT it would be a high load of information.

(Already to long = contact for the explanation)

So they exist but you can travel to another like the 5d?

I think you got the concept of dimensions wrong. There is a difference between a possible way the universe develops and a dimension. A dimension describes the complexities of an object. They are also carrying their attributes and as such when compressed into a singularity they are also compressed and distorted in a certain way. Stephen Hawking developed a formula to describe the complexity of this process.

Dimensions are not something you can travel to but they or their attributes can be a way of transportation.

Extra dimensional spaces like the inside of a black hole behind an event horizon are extra dimensional. Or the door that leads to an other dimension. It's possible but very unpredictable the first time.

The problem is that people started using the word incorrectly.

According to Steven Hawking there could be 11 dimensions including our own.

You're right. I never implied that there's a limit. One formula I'm working on has over 12+3 dimensions. The string theories (there are a lot of them) require between 4+1 and 10+1 dimensions.

    I like the theory.
Dreams are the closest I've gotten.
    Theory is one thing though.
    Finding that door is another.
Being able to cross over is something else.
String theory, or multiple alternate universe's that exist simultaneously with our own.
But basically on different channels like a radio.
    There is plenty to consider.
    Yet, here I am.
    Here you are.

Just because you can't see something, doesn't mean it's not there.

If you can prove or disprove dark matter you would be a theoretical physics genius.

It might be possible but considering they haven't managed to go to space yet We'd probably get some kind of dimensional travel tax scam like NASA and they'd give you some bad vhs editor wipe effects to prove that they jumped dimensions.

Excuse me but time is not really a normal dimension. It's a common misconception that time is a regular dimension that is caused by not properly defining the word dimension. You can't just say it like that.

But if that's your personal opinion than let it be so.

Thinking, feeling, and Imagination is either the 5th Dimension, or possibly even Higher dimension(s) than that
