Normal for larvae to find their way in my room no matter how much i

clean it? I always find larvae on paper that I put in random places. I don't have a messy room, but I have stacks of paper in different areas. If I pick up a sheet, I sometimes get about 2 or 3 larvae on it. It grosses me out to the extreme, but I can't get rid of them. I don't know what the heck they hatch into or if they're even larvae because I have no flies or beetles or anything in my room so what are they?

They kinda look like worms, but they're super tiny and they've got scale-like bodies..they move sorta slow..yeah.

You guys forget that silverfish tend to be extremely fast.

All this talk about "call and exterminator".... Goddammit! The nostalgia's kicking in! I need starcraft 2!

Might be the insect known as the silver fish.

  • Heh?

Ghebulon is correct; silverfish are fast.

Your infestation might consist of another common household pest: carpet beetle larvae, which are relatively slow.

They might just be silverfish. I have those, they get into my drawers and hide under papers and such. If it really becomes a problem, call the exterminator.

    • I just saw the mother I think a huge silver-like body with a weird movement. Yes, I'm pretty sure you're right...does that mean there are hundreds more of those super sized ones? I don't see anymore...I see a lot of larvae though, but no mothers..just the 1.

Termites*. I wasn't done lol! Termites don't look like larvae though. For Now if I were u I'd remove all the paper outta ur room cuz obviously they're attracted to it. Then I would call an exterminator right away. This could b something serious. It's also really disgusting.

  • They might be silverfish, either that or get your room completely cleaned out, like blitz it.

maybe they are book lice. No they are not lice that will chew on you, they like to eat paper and live in moisture. Do you have lots of moisture in your room? if so I would check those areas first. Like if you have moss as decoration. I could be wrong but it is a thought.

OMG - I had those things in my childhood bedroom too, underneath stuff I left on the floor. I have no idea what they were since I never had any adult insects around.
