100% okay, absolutely normal, anybody who even hints at it being otherwise is a weirdo.
Abstaining from sex is not a “religious thing”
“Sexual compatibility” is a thing that some people coined to try to normalize them wanting to push a person to have sex earlier.
You don’t owe anyone sex no matter who they are to you or what your relationship is.
If you have sex with someone while you still have doubts or negative feelings about the situation you will likely have trouble connecting with them which can lead to a self-sabotaging relationship
And here i read the title and my first thought was "hmm, somebody get married ?"
I remember this girl i mess3d with in highschool that would always fuck some guy then post all kinds of Christian stuff on myspace and say shes now waiting till marriage and then she'd fuck some other guy and the cycle continued lol
If you don't want sex, you shouldn't feel pressured into having it. I'd be wary of coming across as frigid though.
Sure, if you find someone who'd be okay with it. It's not common in this day and age and you may have to turn to extreme christians to find someone who wants the same thing.
Make sure you let him/her know what your intentions and how you feel about the sex issue ahead of time before marriage or a commitmun
Your body, your life, your choice.
Personally, I would never have considered buying a pig in a poke or agreeing to marry someone without knowing if we were sexually compatible. But there are loads of sex-negative religious nutjobs in the world who do things this way and then accept whatever the consequences might be as God's plan or some such shit, so if that's a plan you want to follow, the best of luck.
If your previous sexual relationships were toxic, it doesn't follow that the problem lay in you having sex. Usually, if the sexual aspect of a relationship is abusive, exploitative or violent, that's a symptom of serious issues with one or both of the people involved, not the cause of the relationship's problems.
Not okay.
Cats out of the bag.
Why would you put yourself or someone else through that?
male or female?
You prefer a healthy manhood and daily sex.
But You marry a shiteake mushroom, with low sex drive.
You like sex daily, but she's fridgid.
You find out he/she absolutely doesn't do oral.
You can try to make it happen, but it doesn't.
He turns out to be a choker, slapper, or likes to gag you.
Or she has a dry stinky pussy, and insists it's ' self cleaning '
But to get in the mood she wants to use a strap on, on Your ass.
I would'nt buy any car without a good test drive, 90 day refund option, and 100,000 mile drivetrain.
Settle for unknown used?
You'll wish their was a sex car-fax.
I imagine refusing to have sex unless he/she marries you first would be a good way to create a toxic atmosphere in a relationship. Unless you are planning on hitting it off with some unhinged religious freak I can’t imagine any relationship lasting long if you refuse to have sex with them.
“It’s weird to abstain until marriage. Also it’s okay to fuck your sister”
Get help lmfao
Relationships are sexual partnerships, it is extremely weird to refuse to take part in a big part of the relationship for whatever reason. I’ve had a couple of relationships with guys who were ‘morally against’ sex before marriage and they were fucking weirdos who I was rightly wary of.
As for the comment about the guy fucking his sister, it’s not something I’m personally into or would go anywhere near but as long as she’s a consenting adult, there’s really nothing objectively wrong with it. Marrying brothers/sisters/cousins has been the norm for a large part of history.
No they aren’t. There is so many things that go into a relationship besides just humping eachother. You’ll learn that when you get older and have to support yourself.
You’re 18, if you’ve already had a “couple” relationships with people where you think you weren’t having enough sex you need genuine help because you’re a whole child and your parents should get their ass kicked.
That is about as arse-about-face a comment as I have ever read on IIN...
Relationships are the fun part. Once you marry someone, you need to be totally committed to making it work with that person.
While sex is obviously still an aspect in marriage (unless you get married to someone in like your 70s), the other aspects of a relationship like appreciating all your partner's gestures and championing all their achievements become a LOT more important!
