Nightmare about my dad cooking my baby

I had a nightmare that my dad was over visiting and we were all asleep as it was night time. My 7 month old daughter started crying in her crib and I heard my dad get up for her. I thought he was making her a bottle in the kitchen but the baby wouldn't stop screaming. I got up to help him and went in the kitchen to find him standing in front of the oven with his hands in his pockets and he was smiling. Screaming was coming from inside the oven so i looked through the window and there was the baby. I quickly pulled her out and he didn't try to stop me. She had burn marks on her face, chest, stomach, hands and feet. I yelled for my husband to come and keep him there until the cops and ambulance came. When the cops came and arrested my dad he was sitting in the back of the cop car still smiling. What does this dream mean? I am now terrified for my daughter around my dad because of this.

Is someone withholding a physical/material possession from you? Do you own an apology? Or someone you know owes you an apology? Are you currently dealing with someone who has a histrionic personality?

God! That sounds terrifying. You say you've dreamt of him and your husband hurting you. Did your father or another man ever cause you harm during some point in your life?

My father is one of the most loving and understanding people that I've ever known. He has never treated me badly and has always supported me, even when he disagreed with my choices.

However, I've had dreams of him hurting me or allowing me to be hurt. I think it's over some unresolved items in my past that my brain doesn't want to give up, though I've already dealt with emotionally. These items have no connection to my dad. But, since I am very close with him and not at all with my mother, I think that my brain just chooses him since I know him much better.

Same thing with my husband. Never hurt me physically once. Never even raised his hand to me ever. Weird nightmares with him in it.

I think you're probably okay if your father has been good to you and your family. Just ignore it, mostly it's probably just your brain connecting things that it has no business connecting. That's what your brain does, it finds patterns, even where there aren't any.

If you have no real reason (not dream related) to worry, then ignore the dream as an oddity and don't worry about it!

Years ago, a babysitter was babysitting a baby just a few months old and when the parents got home, she said, "I've cooked dinner for you." They went into the dining room and the table was set nad there was a big covered dish in the middle and when she removed the cover, there was their baby, it had been roased in the oven with an apple in its mouth!

Okay, that's probably just an urban legend, but back in October of 2002, a woman in Alabama roased her baby in the oven and that's the absolute truth.
