New companies, owned by everyone who works there...

Some new companies near where I live are like this... the CEO makes the same amount of money as an assembly line worker, everyone makes the same amount of money and owns a piece of the company, whats more you may not need a degree or much education to get in.....personally I like the idea...do you like? yes/no

Nice idea but how would internal management work? In any company, you have people who don't pull their weight. People at their strata know who they are and generally do nothing because they are wasting someone else's money; not theirs.

Also, why would a CEO/MD shoulder more responsibility and take on more work for no material gain?

What I'm suggesting is that people tend towards greed and where that option is removed, they tend towards the converse; doing as little as possible for the recompense they are going to receive. It must surely cross everyone's mind to wonder what the easiest position is and to take that one.

I personally like the idea. When outsiders own companies, the only thing that becomes relevant to ownership is profit maximization. With that you get things like company downsizing, reducing (and even eliminating) of fringe benefits, and many times factory buildings relocating to countries in Latin America and East Asia so that workers can be paid less and have to follow less environmental and safety regulations.

nice idea but it may only work if the ceo gives a flying fart about his or her employees.

i know it worked for one company in japan but that's not surprising because the pay difference from the top to the bottom isn't as wide as it is in other countries

  • I heard about this kind of scheme. I think it could be a great way of motivating people to work hard and do their job well. It's also a lot more friendly than some huge fat cat at the top getting 99% of the profits.

Makes firearms to bolster the economy against the impending threat of the capitalist hedonists in the west.

Eh, I don't really like firearms but if the fight is to be local. A local company is the best place to look for weapons. Keeps the local economy strong. But maybe that would defeat the purpose of the fight.
