Never had a girlfriend and have no interest in relationships at all?

So here's the story...I am eighteen years old and I have never had a girlfriend nor have I had sex. Of course, being only eighteen, it's really not that unusual. To be honest with ya though, I don't want one, nor do I ever. I have no desire for sex either. Ever since I was about twelve, I have always said I will never have a girlfriend or have sex. Honestly, I think relationships and sex are overrated wastes of time, and romance is a bunch of crap. I've considered the asexual thing for quite some time, but I'm not sure if that fits, because I AM attracted to women--I just don't want to be anything more than friends with them.

    You can be attracted to genders and still be asexual. There's an asexual spectrum that's quite varied. You should join an asexual forum. There are two possibilities that I can think of: 1. You're Heteroromantic or 2. You're a Grey-Asexual (Grey-Ace), which is what I am.

    I love how so many on here decide that things they have never tried or experienced are overrated wastes of time.
    That's like saying they don't like a food they have never tried.
    It's immature, foolish, closed minded and rather shallow.

      I'm not the kind of person who makes decisions based on their experiences. I try to avoid the same mistakes that other people make, and from all of my observations, most of the time, romancers are bullshitters.

    Romance is a load of bullshit to a certain extent, which comes way too soon. I also don't think you're asexual but I think you're young and if a friendship with a girl blossoms you might start thinking differently...

        Which is why I said to a certain extent. When people romance sincerely, then it isn't but the so-called fairy tale romance which is used only to be discarded the next day is deceiving. The romance people use to get a one-night stand, that's bullshit.

      I have been good, good friends with girls--pretty girls--some to the point where people thought I was going to hit it off with one of them. Heck, my family tried hard to get me with one. I just have no interest in that nonsense.

        Then whatever man stick to being just friends, I don't think you should worry too much about it. It's better than being a skirt-chaser when you have studies and jobs to do soon. Time will tell.

    I feel the same way (as a girl).
    Although because I'm a MAJOR pushover, I have gotten myself into a couple "relationships" (if you could call it that) because it's it's really hard for me to say no, but I had absolutely no interest in them at all. I'm in a really awkward situation right now. :/
