Never-ending fence!!!

This is going to sound crazy. One time i had a nightmare where i was walking in my backyard. My dog was trying to get me to throw a tennis ball for her, but i just kept walking. my backyard was fenced in, but as i was walking toward the fence, it stayed the same distance as when i began walking. Is it normal to be scared of being caught in something like this in real life?

How is this crazy? It's a fucking dream. And a pretty common one at that.

If something like that happened in real life , i'd be shitting myself .
It's kind of like those horror films with a long corridor that keeps extending.

Well, now, this is a good specimen for dream interpretation.

Sometimes we transfer things we fear in the conscious world into the subconscious world (dreams). But the reverse may also happen, especially if you are a lucid dreamer.

It seems likely that you have a barrier of some kind in your life that you're having trouble addressing. This barrier may be inhibiting you from doing something you enjoy (I'm assuming you like to play with your dog), or it could be something as simple as wanting to spend more time with a loved one (and that includes your dog), but a barrier prevents you from doing so.

In any case, I hope you get through whatever it is that is manifesting in both your dreaming and waking life.

  • this dream means that you are trying to reach a nearly impossible goal. As you try to meet this goal it always seems to slip away from your grasp and you must start on it again.

Eek! Not to scare you any more but have you heard about the State Barrier Fence in Australia?

I votes "other", though what I really mean is that yes, it is normal to feel that way (the whole not-moving-forward-part), but I'm not sure if it's normal to be scared about never reaching a fence. Rationally, it doesn't seem plausible to ever be caught in that "specific" situation. So you shouldn't be scared.
