Neighbor i don't even know wants to shoot me, should i still go home?

Me and my boyfriend have been living in our own apartment together for a few months. It's in the most ghetto area in our state and we're the only white teenagers in the area. Our downstairs neighbor has always been sketchy. (our apartments only 2 floors) Our parking stall is right infront of his window. My boyfriend works late around 11-12 everynight and whenever we park in our stall, we see our neighbor lifting one of the blinds up and starring at us. Like I said this happens all the time, and there's been times where it looked like he was filming us while he was doing it too. Last night when my boyfriend picked me up we went back to our apartment and he was there starring at us. He only does this right when we pull up. But he was being the creepiest hes ever been and then he held up a gun. He held it around his head and then aimed it right at us. We left fast and called the cops. Long story short they didn't do anything and he's still there. Now I assume he hates us even more for calling them and i'm scared to go back home. We've never even talked to this guy once, we have no idea what his problem is. My boyfriend tells me its nothing and gets mad when I say id rather stay at my moms or somewhere else and its really frustrating because I don't feel ok or safe going back. There's been some other weird stuff that he's done too, like when my boyfriend got out of his car once the neighbor opened the door and stood there starring at him with a bat for a really long time, and then went back inside saying nothing.
