Need help defining "bisexual"

If you are attracted to one gender only sexually, and the other only emotionally, does that make you bi? Can I call myself bi even though I'm only sexually attracted to one gender, and would only want a relationship with the other? Is it normal to think this?

I consider (cass) definitley bisexual. You're a girl. and you have apparently had sex with a lot of different girls. That for sure makes you bi sexual. bisexual = 2 sexual. you have sex with girls. you = bi sexual. emotially towrads girl. normal. :D

That's how I am. Emotionally and physically attracted to women. Just Physically attracted to men. Identify as bisexual. Even though I'm sure I'm not using the term correctly. But that should be the way its used. Many people that are bi have emotional and sexual attraction to both sexes equally. Idk if that's really bisexuality... its more.

whatever makes you happy [so long as you are honest all around] is "normal". at least, as *I* define normal.

my question to you: you say you are sexually attracted to one gender, but "emotionally" attracted to the other. and will only enter relationships with those you are "emotionally" attracted to.
is sex part of that relationship?

if it is, then yes, i'd say you were bi. if no, i believe the correct form would be "queer" [as in "some other sexuality" as defined by Angel in a Glass Dress]. but it's YOUR life, and whatever you decide you are, that's what you are.

here's an easy guide to refer to

having sex / dating the opposite gender only = heterosexual
having sex / dating the same gender only = homosexual
having sex / dating both genders = bisexual
having sex / dating anything with a post-code = Captain Jack Harkness

Who you bond with emotionally does not define your sexuality. That defines your friendship.

    i would consider you bi.
i am a girl (i call myself straight because its less complicated to go into discussion)

but i have had sex with lots of females, i would never date one though. i strictly am sexually attracted to them, not emotionally. with guys i am both.

so yes i could consider you bi

It seems you are fairly normal but you express great discomfort! Have you had any traumatic experiences with men or with women? Part of growing up involves defining your sexual orientation and as such it is normal, however a lot of young women experiment with bisexuality and that is also normal. Bisexual means you desire to have sexual relations with both sexes.

Strictly, no. I suppose you could pass for quasibisexual, though.
